Mungatana Calls for 'Super_Alliance 'Against Governor Dhado

Former Garsen Legislator Danson Mungatana has called for formation of a Supper Alliance in Tana River County to ensure the incumbent Governor Hussein Dhado is not re_elected come August 2017 general elections.

Mungatana appealed to all politicians eying the gubernatorial seat in the county to unity under what he termed as Tana River Supper Alliance (TASA) to help block Dhado from retaining the seat.

Addressing hundreds of his supporters in Kipini, Tana River over the weekend, Mungatana who has also declared interest in the top seat said he was ready to for-go his political ambitions and unite with other aspirants in a bid to defeat Governor Dhado in the next general elections.

"Am calling upon all those who want to vie for the seat of the Governor in Tana River ,we form Tana River Super Alliance TASA so that we can force  Governor Hussein Dhadho out of office" said Mungatana.

The former KPA chairman added "its obvious all of us can not win the seat at ago but we can emerge winners if we team up and become one by supporting a single candidate of our choice"

The seat has already attracted over seven aspirants including Tana River County Assembly Speaker Dr Nuh Nassir who is being fronted by his Wardei community..

The Pokomo community has already endorsed Mungatana for the top seat as  a section of Gasa leaders back Retired Major Dhado Godana.

Others who have shown interests in the seat include the former County executive member of Finance Jilo Algi and CEC Agriculture Adam Ziza 

Reliable sources have revealed that Orma community is also fronting veteran politician in the county  Muli Shambaro  to go for the top seat.

In 2013 general elections, the Tana River top seat attracted over 15 candidates most of whom came from the larger Pokomo community.
